My Final Elizabethan Assessment
Today was my Final Assessment and I am very proud of my end results, I was very nervous at the start of working with a someone new and also with my partner having short hair it was difficult at first to handle but after doing my assessment I am really proud of myself for pushing through my nervousness and getting on with it. I believe I have done really well and this was the best outcome of the hair design by far. I enjoyed working with Ross and getting to know him, I enjoyed learning how to style and work with short hair. Crimping the hair is my favourite part I love the way it looks and I always say it reminds me of octopus tentacles. One side of the head the hair was shorter and thinner so I found it difficult to shape as well as the other side, but I tried my best and back combed it as best I could to give it some thickness but you can still see how thin it is. Also as the hair is partly layered it was hard to keep stray hairs down I used a lot and I mean a lot of hairspray which kept some strays away but there are still a few stubborn ones that wouldn't stay down. I found it easy to do the plaiting for the crown as I always just sit and plait bits of my hair so it just comes naturally but trying to round them over and clip them down was hard as the hair was short and the clips had hardly anything to grip to, so they wasn't as secure as I wanted them. This whole hair style for me was challenging but I enjoy being pushed out of my comfort zone and would happily work with Ross again. This overall was a great experience for me and has made me learn that I don't need to be worried about hair as I know I will always try my best and it has helped me a lot with improving my skills and had a ball learning a lot of new things.
