Elizabethan and Modern Hair Shapes

Elizabethan & Modern Hair Shapes

Following the Elizabethan hairstyles there are certain trends that they pioneered and is inspiring modern hairstyle for catwalk, fashion and lots more. I have found a few of my favourite Elizabethan looks old and modern.
The same hair shapes are occurring throughout the Elizabethan period, there are a lot of symmetrical heart shaped  and rounded shapes in a lot of their portraits.

Using the same type of shapes but also doing the in different ways,
I love this first one  as it isn't on top of the head but its still that idea of big rounded symmetrical shape with the hair, it also includes the frizz, plaiting and the light red hair.

The second image incorporates the big heart shape hair, this is also symmetrical, red hair and frizz.

The heart shape is what I am drawn to, I like the way it looks and am going to interoperate this into my own end  look,  I would create this look by using a prop/rat or I would use back combing in my design as my hair is quite thick and long in length it wouldn't need a rat/prop but doing the practices with my partner will help me decide if I need one.
