Elizabethan Hair within Portraiture and Hair Adornments
There are many portraits of Queen Elizabeth I and in these portraits her hair is the same strawberry blond, big, with curls/frizz however they have been accessorized differently in each one. The Elizabethans where know for their extravagant style as seen in many of their portraits.

I have found some modern versions of this type of look and taking different ideas from them to add to my own designs.

I love the styling of the of this hair, the way it is swooped and sleek but also with the Elizabethan twist to it with the red hair, heart shape and embellishment added to it.
To try and create this I would use a rat/prop and back combing to create the shape and then sleek the hair over the padding. Adding the pearls to the hair at the end.

I have found one way I could make the pearls for the hair, I will need to try this out as I want to add pearls into the hair as I think it will pull the whole look together and make it look elegant.
