My Final Hair Design Ideas
Design 1
My First design I mixed different Ideas and different techniques into it, I have used the idea of Ric Rac to give that frizzy texture that you see in the Elizabethan Portraits but as I liked the idea with creating flowers out of hair I have used that idea as it reminded me of a modern high fashion look. The Heart shape structure of the hair but with smooth hair, I will just back comb the hair to create the shape as I think my hair will be thick enough for it. I have included a twisted bun at the back which is what the Elizabethans did with the rest of the hair at the back and I will leave two pieces either side of the hair which I will curl which I have seen some hair down in the portraits and it looks curly.
Design 2
My second design used the ideas of a rounded crimped height which is similar to Elizabethan portraits with their curled/frizzy padded heights. I also used the curling technique for the bottom half of the hair. I have twisted the rest on the hair of the height into bun with the hair still crimped I this will get rid of any assess hair left. I have will be adding a French braid between the two different hair textures, the braid was mostly in the peasants, but I have placed beads into the braid which would have been worn by upper class and royalty.Design 3
I think this is my favourite design out of them all, but I will be trying all of them out first before I chose what I decide which one I want for my final design.
I want a Dutch braid all around the head with added pearls similar to Design 2, I want to add two back combed/padded heart shaped height with a plait down the middle in between them also with pearls added around and in the plait.I want the heart shape to have curled pieces over the heart shapes. These ideas are taken from the heart shape and curled texture from the Elizabethan portraiture, also adding hair adornments like pearls. I will be adding the braid and plaits to incorporate the lower class in that era.
These Portraits of Queen Elizabeth is the one that inspired my ideas for the designs.
Also Modern Elizabethan Ideas the inspired my designs.
